Mingang Hua, male, was born in April 1980. He is a professor and a doctoral supervisor. He graduated from South China University of Technology in 2009, majoring in Control Theory and Control Engineering. From November 2007 to October 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Waterloo in Canada. In 2016, he was selected as an outstanding young backbone teacher in the Qing Lan Project of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions.
He has presided over 12 research projects, including 1 general project and 1 youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 general projects and 1 youth project of the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, 1 new - teacher project of the Doctoral Program Foundation of the Ministry of Education, and 3 projects funded by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. He has participated in 15 research projects, including 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, and 10 horizontal cooperation projects.
As the first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 80 SCI/EI papers in domestic and international journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, Information Science, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems, Signal Processing, Journal of the Franklin Institute, ISA Transactions, Neurocomputing, Circuits Systems and Signal Processing, Neural Computing and Applications, Neural Processing Letters, Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control. He has been granted 5 patents. He has long served as a reviewer for multiple SCI journals and conferences such as IFAC, ACC, CDC, and CCC.

Teaching and Talent Cultivation:
He has taught undergraduate courses including Microcomputer Principles and Interfaces, Modern Control Theory, Sensor Technology, Sensing Technology, and postgraduate courses such as Principle of Sensors, Robust Control, and Robust Control Systems.
He has supervised 7 students under the Excellence Program and the Elite Program. Two of his master's students have won the National Scholarship for Postgraduate Students. He has trained and supervised 15 master's students, among whom 2 have been awarded Excellent Master's Degree Theses of Jiangsu Province.
Research Interests:
Robust filtering for Markov jump systems and stochastic systems, fuzzy control, neural network observation, and optimal control algorithms.
