Prof. JU Ping (FIET, FCSEE, SMIEEE) received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 1982 and 1985, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1988.From 1994 to 1995, he was an Alexander-von-Humboldt Fellow at the University of Dortmund, Dortmund, Germany. In 2007, He received the Scientific Funds for Outstanding Young Scientists of China. He is now a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Hohai University, Nanjing, China. His research interests include modeling and control of power system, stochastic dynamics of power system, and smart grid with renewable power generation.   

In the past five years, Prof. JU has undertaken about 6 national research projects, including State Key Program of NSFC, Major Research Plan of NSFC, and about 8 research projects sponsored by power grid companies. Meanwhile, 3 research books and more than 100 research papers have been published. In 2017, he was honored with the National Since and Technology Progress Award of China for the outstanding contributions to power system load modeling.
