ResumeDr. Hao Wang serves as an assistant professor at the Department of engineering mechanics, Hohai University, and visiting scholar at Nathaz Modelling Lab, University of Notre Dame. He received a Ph. D. in Fluid Mechanics, M. Eng. in Structural Engineering, and B. Eng. in Engineering Mechanics in 2020, 2017, and 2014, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Tongguang Wang, Prof. Shitang Ke, and Prof. Ahsan Kareem (co-supervisor). Dr. Wang’s research concerns the study of applied mechanics in energy engineering with an emphasis on the structural safety performance of offshore wind farms under extreme conditions. He has worked as a principal investigator or co-researcher on many projects such as the National 973 Program, the National Key Research and Development Project of China, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Wang has published more than 30 academic papers as a principal contributor, of which 15 journal papers were indexed in SCI, and the research won four provincial/ministerial awards including the China Electric Power Science and Technology Progress Award and the honorary title of Jiangsu Excellent Academic Master's Thesis.
