ResumeWang Yang, Professor of the College of New Energy and Deputy Director of the Institute of Solar Energy and Systems at Hohai University, has long been dedicated to research and application at the intersection of energy science and artificial intelligence. He has led 13 national and provincial/ministerial research projects, with a total funding of 17.34 million yuan. He has also actively participated in numerous important scientific collaborations both domestically and internationally, serving as a core member of one domestic project and three European international collaborations. Professor Wang has published 63 papers in high-profile journals and conferences both domestically and internationally, 25 of which have been indexed by the SCI and 21 by the EI. He has also published an academic monograph systematically summarizing his research findings in renewable energy and intelligent systems. He has also made significant achievements in technological innovation, receiving a second-class ministerial award for scientific and technological progress, eight authorized Chinese invention patents, one Spanish patent, and 12 software copyrights, fully demonstrating the innovative and practical nature of his research. Professor Wang Yang's research interests span a wide range of cutting-edge fields, including artificial intelligence, intelligent enterprise operations and maintenance, the Internet of Things, smart energy management, solar thermal utilization, energy storage material development, solid fuel combustion, and combustion characteristics analysis in extreme environments. He focuses on integrating theory with engineering applications to promote the intelligent upgrade of clean energy technologies. Professor Wang is also actively involved in Sino-European scientific and technological exchanges and talent collaboration. He is currently the President of the Spanish Association for Cooperation and Exchange of Chinese and Western Scholars (ACIACE), affiliated with the UCPAE European Chinese Professional Associations Alliance. ACIACE is dedicated to building bridges for academic, industrial, and cultural exchanges between China and Europe, promoting international scientific research collaboration and the development of young talents. With his solid academic foundation, extensive engineering experience, and broad international perspective, Professor Wang Yang has become a leading scholar in the field of the integration of new energy and intelligent systems. He has made remarkable contributions to technological innovation, being awarded the Second Prize in Science and Technology Progress at the Ministerial Level, granted 8 Chinese invention patents, 1 Spanish patent, and registered 12 software copyrights, demonstrating the novelty and practical value of his research. Prof. Wang’s research interests include artificial intelligence, intelligent operation and maintenance in industry, Internet of Things (IoT), smart energy management, solar thermal utilization, energy storage materials, solid fuel combustion, and combustion characteristics under extreme conditions. His work emphasizes the integration of theoretical research and engineering applications, promoting the intelligent transformation of clean energy technologies. Moreover, Prof. Wang is deeply committed to Sino-European scientific exchange and talent collaboration. He currently serves as President of ACIACE Association (China-Spain Academic Collaboration and Exchange), which is affiliated with the UCPAE European Chinese Professional Associations Federation. In this role, he is dedicated to building bridges for academic, industrial, and cultural cooperation between China and Europe, fostering international research collaboration and youth talent development. Advanced Thermal Storage Material R&D: Research covers a wide range of thermal storage materials, including alloys, molten salts, steelmaking waste slag, polymers, and carbon nanomaterials. Participation in Large-Scale Test Platforms: Participated in the design of the EU's largest laboratory-scale 100MW air-circulating thermal storage test facility, used for industrial-scale performance testing of thermal storage materials. 3. New Energy Utilization and High-Energy Fuels Closed High-Humidity Hydrogen-Oxygen Power Cycle: Proposes and studies an innovative energy utilization method that integrates a steam cycle with hydrogen combustion to form a closed high-humidity hydrogen-oxygen power cycle, thereby improving energy utilization efficiency. High-Energy Boron-Based Fuel Research: Focuses on the combustion mechanism of high-energy solid fuels—boron-based fuels—and develops high-performance fuel formulations and processes to improve their combustion efficiency. 4. Microscale Energy Devices Microscale Combustion: Researches combustion instability issues under microscale conditions. Microscale Heat-to-Work Conversion: Explores technologies for efficiently converting thermal energy into mechanical or electrical energy at microscales. 5. International Cooperation and Frontier Exploration China-Europe Scientific and Technological Cooperation: Maintains long-term partnerships with leading international institutions such as the CIC Energy Research Cooperation Center of Spain and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) of Germany.
