Resume


Guang Yang is a professor(Junior) in the College of Hydrology and Water Resources at Hohai University and he is honored with the "Specially-appointed Professor" in Jiangsu Province (China) in 2023.  He received his B.Eng. and Ph.D. in Hydrology and Water Resources from Wuhan University (China) in 2013 and 2018, respectively. After his stay as a visiting student during 2016-2017 at the Georgia Water Resources Institute in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), he was awarded the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in Water Resources, China in 2018.  He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Water System & Society Research Group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) during 2018-2021 and at the Environmental Intelligence Lab in the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano (Italy) during 2021-2023His research focuses on multi-objective water resources operations, adaptive reservoir operations under climate change, and machine learning based decision support systems.
