Xia Bian

Xia Bian, Professor in Geotechnical Engineering Hohai University, DaYu Scholar (Fourth level). In 2016, worked at ENPC France as Post-doc, sponsored by European Union Marie Curie fund, GREAT project. In 2018, compiling the international consultation report “Development and Utilization of Urban Underground Space”, a consultation evaluation project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and submitting it to the State Council for review.

He is mainly focused on special soil mechanics, environmental geotechnical engineering and other fields in the development of urban underground space. He presided over six research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province and Postdoctoral Research Funding. At present, more than 20 academic papers have been published in domestic and foreign first-class journals such as 《Géotechnique》, 《Engineering Geology》and 《Chinese Geotechnical Engineering Journal》, among which 18 papers were retrieved by SCI (14 were the first author/corresponding author).
